Historic Cummins House, located at 23 Sheoak Avenue in Novar Gardens, is one of South Australia's earliest surviving buildings. Constructed in 1842 for pioneer and politician John Morphett, it remained the Morphett family's residence for five generations. The house and its gardens are meticulously maintained by The Cummins Society, who offer guided tours featuring a Devonshire tea on the first and third Sundays of each month from February to November. These tours provide insights into the property's rich history and the Morphett family's significant role in the colony's development.
