Venue

Port Macquarie, NSW

Built in 1869 and designed by colonial architect James Barnet, the Historic Courthouse in Port Macquarie is a fine example of Victorian Georgian architecture. The building features a central gabled courtroom flanked by smaller hipped roof wings, all crafted from painted brick. The premium grade bloodwood shingle roofs, complete with chimneys and metal pots, add to its historic charm. Visitors can explore the courtroom, solicitor’s room, and judge’s chambers, each furnished to reflect their late 19th-century functions. The courthouse is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
