Historic Bowenfels Station, located on Cooerwull Road in Bowenfels, NSW 2790, is a heritage-listed site that opened on 18 October 1869. Designed by John Clifton and constructed by G. Watsford, the station features Victorian Rustic Gothic architecture, with the building and station master's residence crafted from local sandstone. The station played a pivotal role in the development of the Bowenfels area, facilitating the exploitation of local coal reserves and contributing to the growth of Lithgow as a mining and industrial center. Although passenger services ceased in 1974, the station remains a significant historical landmark, reflecting the early period of railway construction in New South Wales.
