Nestled just over the bridge on Randell Road, the Hindmarsh Island Landcare Group Inc. is dedicated to restoring and re-establishing biodiverse vegetation communities on Hindmarsh Island. Established in 1991/92, the group has planted over 700,000 native plants across more than 80 sites, transforming the island's landscape. Their community nursery, open every Tuesday and the first Saturday of each month, offers a variety of native plants for sale. Visitors are welcome to join weekly working bees on Tuesday mornings to contribute to ongoing restoration efforts.
