Price on enquiry
Perched on a hillside overlooking Stanley and The Nut, Highfield Historic Site offers a glimpse into early colonial life in Tasmania. Established in 1826 by Edward Curr, chief agent of the Van Diemen's Land Company, the site features a Regency-style homestead, convict barracks, barns, stables, and a chapel, all set amidst ornamental gardens. Visitors can explore the homestead's elegant rooms, including those with marble mantelpieces and timber staircases, and enjoy panoramic views of Bass Strait. The site is open daily from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, except on Christmas Day.
