Explore the Hidden Treasure track in Copeland Tops State Conservation Area, a 4.5 km loop through dry rainforest along Copeland Creek. The trail features a canopy of grey myrtle, shatterwood, and yellow tulip trees. Along the way, discover remnants of the area's mining heritage, including a historic boiler and disused mine entrance. The Hidden Treasure gold reef, discovered in 1877, became the area's second most productive mine, yielding 269 kg of gold. Today, microbats inhabit the old mine entrance, often seen scavenging for insects.
