Located at 17 Cypress Street in Torquay, the Hervey Bay City Bridge Club offers a welcoming environment for bridge enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Established in 1990, the club operates from a modern, air-conditioned facility that was once a Salvation Church. Bridge sessions are held five times a week, with Thursday dedicated to novice players holding fewer than 50 masterpoints. Each session begins at 1:00 p.m. and lasts approximately three and a half hours. The club provides free lessons for beginners twice a year, typically in March and September, followed by supervised play to ease newcomers into regular sessions. All cards are computer-dealt, and hand records are available after each session. Bridgemates facilitate electronic scoring, with results promptly uploaded to the club's website. Wheelchair access is available, and ample parking is provided on-site and on the street. Visitors are encouraged and can find assistance with partners through designated members listed on the club's website.
