Established in 1951, Hay Flat CFS is a dedicated volunteer fire station located at 4 Tonto Road, Hay Flat, South Australia. Serving the Southern Fleurieu Group, it responds to a variety of emergencies, including bushfires, grass fires, and natural disasters like storm damage and flooding. The station operates a 4WD Isuzu FSS550 appliance with a 2,500-litre water capacity and is equipped with breathing apparatus, chainsaw, GPS, AED, and thermal imaging camera. Training sessions are held every Sunday at 8:30 a.m., welcoming new members to join their community-focused team.
