Harrington Break Wall

The Harrington Break Wall, constructed over 33 years starting in 1885, extends approximately 2 kilometers upstream and 1 kilometer seaward, safeguarding the entrance to the Manning River. Today, it serves as a scenic pathway for walking, jogging, and cycling, offering panoramic views of the river and the Pacific Ocean. The break wall is divided into two arms: one heading north towards the ocean and the other south across the river's opening. Along the 2.7-kilometer path, visitors can find seating areas to rest and enjoy the surroundings. The entrance is located on Beach Street, with ample parking available nearby.
