Gunneemooroo campground

Nestled in the southern part of Warrumbungle National Park, Gunneemooroo Campground offers a serene bushland retreat beneath Mount Naman. Accessible exclusively by 4WD vehicles, this remote campground features non-flush toilets and relies on tank water, which should be treated or boiled before consumption. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own drinking water, cooking water, and firewood, as firewood collection is prohibited within the park. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with no marked sites, and is within Australia's first Dark Sky Park, offering exceptional stargazing opportunities. Please note that park entry fees apply, and a $6 booking fee is required.
