Granville Harbour

Granville Harbour is a secluded coastal community on Tasmania's west coast, approximately 35 km northwest of Zeehan. Established as a soldier settlement after World War I, it now features a small population and numerous holiday shacks. The area is renowned for exceptional fishing, with activities such as swimming, camping, bushwalking, and four-wheel driving. Notably, the Granville Harbour Wind Farm, consisting of 31 turbines, generates up to 112 megawatts of renewable energy, contributing significantly to Tasmania's sustainable power supply. Access is via Heemskirk Road and Granville Harbour Road; visitors should be self-sufficient, as there are no shops or services on-site.
