Nestled in Grafton's heritage precinct, the Grafton Regional Gallery is a vibrant cultural hub for the Clarence Valley. Established in 1988, it offers a dynamic program of exhibitions, events, and public programs, showcasing contemporary Australian art. The gallery's collection includes over 3,000 works, featuring artists like Doris and Gladys O’Grady, John William Lindt, and Ken Done. In 2021, following a $7.6 million grant from the NSW Government, the gallery underwent a major redevelopment, unveiling state-of-the-art facilities that seamlessly integrate with the historic Prentice House and its surrounding cottage gardens. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions such as the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA) and the Clarence Valley Indigenous Art Award (CVIAA), which highlight excellence in contemporary drawing and local Indigenous stories. The gallery also features a café, The Gallery Store, and a sculpture garden, providing a tranquil environment to appreciate art and culture.
