Goyder Renewables Zone, located near Burra and Robertstown in South Australia's Mid North region, is a pioneering hybrid renewable energy project combining wind, solar, and battery storage to deliver continuous clean energy. The project comprises two main components: Goyder South, featuring a 412 MW wind farm with 75 turbines, and Goyder North, which is in the planning stages and will include up to 1,000 MW of wind power and 900 MW of battery storage. Once fully operational, the zone is expected to produce over 8,000,000 MWh of renewable energy annually, significantly contributing to South Australia's renewable energy goals. The development is expected to create up to 1,100 jobs over a 5 to 6 year period, with ongoing employment for over 100 workers once operational.
