Gowrie House, also known as Largo, is a heritage-listed villa at 112 Mary Street, East Toowoomba. Designed by architect Henry James Marks and built around 1901 for prominent local businessman Alexander Mayes, the residence showcases distinctive early 20th-century architecture. In 1945, it was acquired by the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Toowoomba, providing secure accommodation for young women working and studying in the area. Today, it continues to serve as a hostel, offering 42 rooms for students, travelers, and individuals with disabilities.
