Goulburn Weir, completed in 1891, is a historic concrete structure spanning 212 meters in length and 15 meters in height across the Goulburn River near Nagambie, Victoria. As Australia's first major irrigation diversion, it facilitates gravity-fed water distribution through the Stuart Murray Canal, Cattanach Canal, and East Goulburn Main Channel, supporting extensive agricultural activities in the region. The weir also forms Lake Nagambie, a 170-hectare reservoir that serves as a hub for recreational activities such as rowing, fishing, boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, and canoeing. The surrounding area features picnic facilities, a playground, and walking trails, making it a popular destination for both locals and visitors.
