Goulburn Weir, constructed between 1887 and 1891, is a historic structure spanning the Goulburn River near Nagambie, Victoria. As Australia's first major irrigation diversion, it forms Lake Nagambie, a venue for rowing regattas and waterskiing tournaments. The weir is 209 meters long and approximately 16 meters high, featuring a design advanced for its time. Notably, it appeared on Australian banknotes from 1913 to 1933 and housed one of the first hydro-electric turbines in the Southern Hemisphere. Today, it continues to support local agriculture by diverting water for irrigation.
