Located on the lower floor of the ANZ Centre at 17 Grantham Street, the venue boasts an airy dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows, providing stunning views of the riverbanks. The menu features a variety of tapas plates designed for sharing, with dishes brought to the table as they are prepared. Desserts and a cheese selection are also available, and for an adventurous experience, guests can try the chef’s selection. Gothenburg is a popular destination for riders on the Te Awa River Trail and a nice stop for visitors to the Hamilton Gardens. The restaurant is located right next to the Hamilton Museum and is soon to be near the new Waikato Regional Theatre, which is due to open in 2025. Gothenburg is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 11:30 am for coffee, drinks, and baked treats; Monday to Saturday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm for lunch; Monday to Saturday from 2:30 pm to 5 pm for a snack menu; and from 5 pm for dinner. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
