Situated on Barrow Island, approximately 60 kilometers off Western Australia's northwest coast, the Gorgon LNG Plant is among the world's largest liquefied natural gas projects and Australia's most significant single-resource development. The facility comprises three processing units with a combined capacity of 15.6 million tonnes of LNG per year and a domestic gas plant supplying 300 terajoules of gas daily to Western Australia. Since commencing operations in March 2016, Gorgon has been a cornerstone of the Australian economy, meeting global demand for cleaner-burning fuel.
