
Goolwa Beach, located at 35 Hewett Rd, Goolwa South SA 5214, is a pristine 18-kilometer stretch of white sand and surf, extending from Middleton to the River Murray Mouth. This coastal haven offers opportunities to gather pipis (Goolwa cockles) during the summer months, with a daily bag limit of 300 pipis per person. Visitors can also enjoy four-wheel-drive access along the beach, with a 12-kilometer drive from the entrance to the Murray Mouth. The area is equipped with facilities including cafes, car parks, electric vehicle charging points, family-friendly amenities, lookouts, public toilets, and restaurants. Please note that the pipi harvesting season runs from November 1 to May 31, with an annual closure from June 1 to October 31.
