Goldfields Aboriginal Language Centre Aboriginal Corporation (GALCAC)

Located in the historic Boulder Railway Station building, the Goldfields Aboriginal Language Centre Aboriginal Corporation (GALCAC) is dedicated to preserving and revitalizing the First Nations languages of Western Australia's Goldfields region. Established in 2011 and incorporated in 2020, GALCAC collaborates with local language groups to document, analyze, and create resources such as dictionaries and grammars. The center offers various training courses, including 'Speak, Read and Write Goldfields Aboriginal Languages,' and hosts events like the biennial Aboriginal Languages Conference.
