The Goldfield Ashes, held annually in Charters Towers, Queensland, is the largest amateur cricket carnival in the southern hemisphere. Organized by the Charters Towers Cricket Association, the event spans three days each January, featuring matches across 58 playing fields, including some privately owned. Recognized as a Queensland Iconic Event, it combines competitive cricket with a strong community spirit, drawing participants and spectators from across Australia. The 2025 Goldfield Ashes is scheduled for January 17–19.
