Gogeldrie Weir, completed in 1959, is a significant irrigation structure on the Murrumbidgee River, diverting water to the Coleambally Irrigation Area and Murrumbidgee Irrigation Areas. The site features six automated gates, each 6.1 meters high and 12.2 meters wide, managed by electric motors. Adjacent to the weir, Gogeldrie Riverside Park offers a 17-acre natural bush setting with spacious tent and caravan sites, picnic areas, and a kiosk. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, and bushwalking along the riverfront. Recent upgrades have enhanced the park's facilities, ensuring a comfortable experience for all guests.
