Glen Innes celtic winter solstice

The Australian Standing Stones in Glen Innes, New South Wales, serve as a tribute to the Celtic heritage of Australia. This national monument features a circle of standing stones aligned to mark key solar events, including the winter solstice. Each year, the Australian Standing Stones Management Board hosts a free public event to witness the crossing of the solar noon shadow at the winter solstice.
