Foster War Memorial Arts Centre

The Foster War Memorial Arts Centre, established in 1966, serves as a vibrant hub for the Foster community and the wider South Gippsland region. This versatile venue features a spacious auditorium, a well-equipped kitchen, and multiple meeting rooms, all fully air-conditioned for year-round comfort. The auditorium accommodates up to 400 people theatre-style and approximately 200 seated at tables, making it ideal for large events such as weddings, concerts, and theatrical performances. Smaller meeting rooms are also available for various purposes. The centre is home to the Foster Arts Music and Drama Association (FAMDA), reflecting its strong focus on the arts. Additionally, the centre hosts a monthly market showcasing local producers, fostering community engagement. Managed by dedicated volunteers, the centre is committed to serving the community's diverse needs.
