Moonta Mines, SA

The historic Moonta Mines Uniting Church, established in 1865, stands as a testament to the area's rich mining heritage. Originally seating 750, it expanded in 1872 to accommodate 1,250 worshippers. In 2022, the Field of Dreams congregation acquired the property, aiming to revive its spiritual significance. They honor the land's original custodians by naming the church 'Buggi-Buggilu' (Ancient Wells). Services are held every Sunday at 4 pm, followed by communal gatherings in the hall. All are welcome to experience this historic venue's warmth and community spirit.
