Nestled at the rear of the Forest Gardens estate in Mount Sheridan, Forest View Cemetery offers a serene and contemplative environment for visitors. The cemetery is currently nearing capacity, with approximately 300 burial sites remaining. To accommodate future needs, Cairns Regional Council has developed a masterplan for expansion, incorporating over 2,800 additional adult burial sites, natural burial options, and a sheltered columbarium area. This expansion aims to serve the community's needs over the next 30 years, ensuring a peaceful resting place for generations to come.
