The Flying Fox Viewing Platform in West Albury offers a unique opportunity to observe the Grey-headed Flying-fox colony at Leaney’s Bend. Situated along the Wagirra Trail near the Kremur Street boat ramp, the platform provides excellent views of these remarkable creatures in their natural habitat. Completed in June 2020, it features binoculars to enhance the viewing experience. Visitors are encouraged to use the platform to minimize disturbance to the colony and to maintain a safe distance, as flying foxes can carry diseases harmful to humans.
