Fisher is a rural locality in South Australia's Mid Murray region, approximately 96 kilometers northeast of Adelaide and 47 kilometers northeast of Mannum. Established on March 27, 2003, it encompasses land in the Hundred of Fisher and a smaller portion in the Hundred of Skurray. The area is primarily dedicated to primary production, with a small section in the southwest designated for rural living. Notably, the northeastern corner includes sections 196 and 197, which are part of the private Yookamurra Sanctuary. Fisher is governed by the Mid Murray Council and falls within the federal division of Barker and the state electoral district of Chaffey.
