Embark on a self-guided adventure through Fig Tree Cave, a highlight of Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve. This family-friendly tour, suitable for all ages, spans a 1.2 km return journey and takes approximately one hour. The cave features a variety of stunning formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, helictites, cave coral, and rare stromatolites resembling crayfish tails. The tour concludes with a stroll through Mable Way to Victoria Arch, one of the largest chambers at Wombeyan Caves. The cave maintains a constant temperature of 15°C year-round. Please note, the cave is accessed via a token-operated door, a 15-minute walk from the visitor centre. Online ticket holders must collect a token from the visitor centre before proceeding to the cave entrance. The path to the cave entrance is moderately steep and approximately 500 meters long. The ground inside the cave can be slippery; visitors are advised to exercise caution. The cave is not wheelchair accessible. Food is not permitted inside the cave. The nearest toilets are located at Kui Kiosk. Self-guided tours are available daily from 9 am to 3:30 pm, with visitors requested to exit the cave by 4:15 pm. Admission fees are: Adults $20, Children/Pensioners $13, Seniors $17, and Families (2 adults and children up to 16 years) $50. Multi-cave passes are also available.
