Nestled within Wilsons Promontory National Park, Fairy Cove is a secluded beach accessible via a 2.8 km coastal hike from the Darby River car park. The trail, featuring some steep sections, rewards hikers with panoramic views of Darby Swamp, the Vereker Range, and Darby Beach. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a pristine 250-meter stretch of white sand, crystal-clear waters, and distinctive granite boulders. The area is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and exploring rock pools. Wildlife enthusiasts may encounter wallabies, echidnas, and wombats, especially during dawn and dusk. To fully appreciate the cove's beauty and avoid crowds, it's recommended to arrive early, preferably before 10 am. Be mindful of tide conditions, as access to the beach is limited during high tide.
