Constructed in 1872 for Arthur Atkinson, a Nelson MP and astronomer, the house features an observation tower, a replica of which has been built after its original demolition. Today, it serves as a community center, offering a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for weddings, conferences, meetings, parties, and workshops. The venue includes a ballroom, gallery, courtyard, and gardens, all accessible to wheelchair users.
