Nestled in a hectare of beautifully maintained gardens, Eskbank House Museum in Lithgow offers a captivating glimpse into the region's rich history. Built in 1842 for Thomas Brown, a pioneer of the local coal industry, the sandstone Georgian-style residence showcases four front rooms furnished with early Victorian pieces. The museum's extensive collection includes the largest display of Lithgow Pottery in Australia, a blacksmith's forge, and the historic "Possum" locomotive. Visitors can also enjoy art exhibitions in the Courtyard Gallery and relax in the picturesque gardens. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm.
