Elmore Athenaeum Hall

The Elmore Athenaeum Hall, located at 62 Michie Street, Elmore, VIC 3558, is a historic complex comprising the original 1869 building, the 1885 Athenaeum, the 1912 Supper Room, and the 1924 Memorial Hall. Originally constructed as a school, the 1869 building now serves as a kitchen. The 1885 Athenaeum, designed by prominent Bendigo architect W.C. Vahland, features a finely executed Michie Street facade in the Italianate Transition Classical style. The 1912 Supper Room and 1924 Memorial Hall were added to the complex, reflecting the town's growth and the building's significance as a community hub.
