Housed in a 1865 Presbyterian Church, the Dunkeld and District Historical Museum showcases the rich social history of the Dunkeld district. Its extensive collection spans from early Aboriginal artifacts to displays on Major Mitchell's exploration, the wool and baking industries, telecommunications, and the impacts of the World Wars. The museum also features links to Dunkeld, Scotland, and holds substantial information on early local families, complemented by an extensive photographic archive. Operated by dedicated volunteers, the museum is open on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm, and Sundays and public holidays from 1pm to 5pm.
