Established in the mid-1800s as Hanley's Flat Cemetery, Dungog Cemetery serves as the primary burial ground for the Williams River Valley. Located on the southern edge of Dungog, it encompasses approximately 2,500 graves, some of which have fallen into disrepair. The cemetery is divided into denominational sections, including Catholic, Wesleyan, Presbyterian, Church of England, Unallotted, Baptist, and General Divisions. Additionally, it features a general lawn cemetery, a columbarium, and a small war cemetery.
