Diamond Tree, WA

The Diamond Tree, a towering 54.5-meter karri tree located 10 kilometers south of Manjimup, was once a vital fire lookout from 1940 to 1974. In 1940, a cabin was constructed at its summit, enabling observers to scan the surrounding landscape for signs of smoke. Today, the tree is permanently closed to climbing due to safety concerns, but visitors can enjoy the adjacent picnic area and walking trail, making it an attractive spot for relaxation and learning about its historical significance.
