Perched atop a 220-meter dolerite cliff in Tasmania's Central Highlands, Devil's Gullet Lookout offers panoramic views of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair World Heritage Area. A 20-minute return boardwalk leads visitors to the platform, which overlooks the Fisher River Valley and alpine forests. On clear days, Mount Ossa, Tasmania's highest peak at 1,617 meters, is visible. The area is accessible via a 14-kilometer gravel road from Mole Creek, suitable for two-wheel-drive vehicles in favorable weather. There are no facilities at the site; visitors should plan accordingly.
