Dendrobium Coal Mine is an underground mining operation situated near Mount Kembla, approximately 8 kilometers west of Wollongong, New South Wales. Established in 2002, it primarily produces metallurgical coal essential for steelmaking. The mine extracts coal from the Wongawilli Seam of the Southern Coalfield, operating under longwall mining methods. It supplies high-quality coking coal to Australian steelmakers, including BlueScope Port Kembla Steelworks and Liberty Primary Steel Whyalla Steelworks. In August 2024, ownership of the mine transitioned to a consortium comprising Golden Energy and Resources Ltd. and M Resources Pty Ltd.
