
Nestled 11 km north of Innisfail and 84 km south of Cairns, the Daradgee Environmental Education Centre spans 1.4 hectares, complemented by an adjacent 2.7-hectare council reserve featuring rainforest walks and a tree-lined oval along the North Johnstone River. The centre offers residential camps and day excursions for students from Prep to Year 12, as well as community groups and sporting organisations. Facilities include air-conditioned accommodation for up to 108 people, a kitchen and dining area, an indoor climbing shed, low ropes challenge course, farmyard, and a 23-seat surveyed vessel for aquatic studies. Programs focus on health and physical education, science, and personal and social capabilities, aligning with the Australian Curriculum. Nearby attractions include the MAMU Canopy Walk, Paronella Park, Etty Bay, and Wooroonooran and Eubanangi Swamp National Parks.
