Surrounded by unspoiled bushland and abundant wildlife, the area provides ample opportunities for bushwalking, canoeing, swimming, and cycling. The dam is home to a thriving population of native bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. Visitors can explore remnants of old gold mines and a historic cemetery, with caution advised near mine shafts. The area is open for day use only; camping is not permitted. Please note, the water is not suitable for drinking, and no fires are allowed.
