Danjera Dam, nestled in the historic gold mining town of Yalwal, offers a serene retreat approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Nowra. Surrounded by unspoiled bushland and abundant wildlife, the area provides ample opportunities for bushwalking, canoeing, swimming, and cycling. The dam is home to a thriving population of native bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. Visitors can explore remnants of old gold mines and a historic cemetery, with caution advised near mine shafts. The area is open for day use only; camping is not permitted. Please note, the water is not suitable for drinking, and no fires are allowed.
