Dandry Gorge Aboriginal Area, established in December 2005, spans 382 hectares within the Pilliga Forest. This culturally significant site features the 'Sculptures in the Scrub' walking track, a 1.2 km trail adorned with five unique sculptures that narrate stories of the local Gamilaraay Aboriginal people. The trail offers stunning views of the gorge and surrounding bushland. Amenities include picnic shelters, tables, free gas barbecues, and bush campsites. The area is jointly managed by the Gawambaraay Pilliga Co-Management Committee and NSW National Parks, ensuring the preservation of its cultural heritage.
