Dandongadale River

The Dandongadale River, a perennial watercourse in Victoria's Alpine region, originates below the Cobbler Plateau and flows through dense forests and rugged terrain. Its 41-kilometer journey culminates at the Buffalo River within Mount Buffalo National Park. Notably, the river is home to the Dandongadale Falls, Victoria's highest waterfall, which descends 255 meters over successive cascades. The surrounding area offers dispersed camping and walking opportunities, providing a serene retreat for nature enthusiasts. Access to the river is via a walking track starting from the road bridge near the Rose River junction.
