The Dandongadale River, a perennial watercourse in Victoria's Alpine region, originates below Cobbler Plateau at an elevation of 1,240 meters. It meanders through the Alpine National Park, descending 959 meters over its 41-kilometer journey, and converges with the Buffalo River within Mount Buffalo National Park. Notably, the river is impounded by Lake Cobbler, and its waters cascade over the Dandongadale Falls, the highest waterfall in Victoria, plunging 255 meters. The area offers dispersed camping and hiking opportunities, with access requiring a walk along a track starting from the road bridge near the Rose River junction.
