Dandongadale River

The Dandongadale River, a perennial watercourse in Victoria's Alpine region, originates below Cobbler Plateau and descends 959 meters over its 41-kilometer journey. Flowing through dense forests and rocky terrains, it converges with the Buffalo River within Mount Buffalo National Park. Notably, the river features the Dandongadale Falls, Victoria's highest waterfall, cascading 255 meters. The surrounding area offers dispersed camping and walking opportunities, with access requiring a walk along a track starting from the road bridge near the Rose River junction.
