Dandongadale River

The Dandongadale River, originating below Cobbler Plateau in Victoria's Alpine National Park, meanders through dense forests and rugged terrains, descending 959 meters over its 41-kilometer journey. Notably, it feeds into Lake Cobbler, a serene spot popular for camping, fishing, and hiking. The river's path includes the Dandongadale Falls, the highest waterfall in Victoria, plunging 255 meters over successive cascades. Accessing the river involves navigating gravel tracks, with sections near the falls being rough; a 4WD is recommended, especially during wet conditions.
