Dale, located in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region, offers a serene rural setting with a rich history. The Dale Community Hall, established in 1904, stands as a testament to the area's heritage, featuring local stone construction and a corrugated iron roof. The hall, measuring approximately 45ft by 22ft, includes a supper room and two small rooms, originally serving as cloakrooms or card rooms. These were replaced during restoration in 1978 with a hardiplex and cement floor kitchen (supper room) and store room. The hall has no ceiling or lining. A new toilet block of brick construction in 1978 replaced the older 'thunder boxes' way out the back. The predominant features of the place include the high pitched metal roof, the timber finial at the gable apex, the face stonework and brick quoining, and symmetrical facades. The hall is set in a small patch of bush alongside St John on the Wilderness. Both the hall and St John's have been restored to their former glory.
