D'Aguilar National Park

D'Aguilar National Park, located between 12 and 35 kilometers northwest of Brisbane, spans approximately 40,000 hectares, safeguarding the D'Aguilar Range's diverse ecosystems. Visitors can explore open eucalypt woodlands, scribbly gum forests, and lush subtropical rainforests, home to over 800 plant species, including rare and threatened varieties. Wildlife enthusiasts may encounter species such as the platypus, Mount Glorious spiny crayfish, and the vulnerable powerful owl. The park offers a range of activities, including hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, and camping. Notable attractions include the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre, Bellbird Grove picnic area, and the historic Gantry day-use area.
