The Cunderdin Solar Farm, located near Cunderdin, Western Australia, is a pioneering hybrid photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery energy storage system. With a capacity of 128 MWdc (100 MWac) solar PV and a 55 MW / 220 MWh battery energy storage system, it commenced operations in March 2025. This facility is designed to provide four hours of constant power supply daily, significantly enhancing renewable energy integration into the South West Interconnected System (SWIS). The project is expected to prevent the emission of 140,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually and generate energy equivalent to the annual consumption of 51,000 homes.
