Cultana is a locality on the northeastern part of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, encompassing the expansive Cultana Training Area. This area serves as the Australian Army's largest training facility, supporting full combined arms exercises. The training area is situated approximately 370 km northwest of Adelaide, between Port Augusta and Whyalla, and includes the former Baxter Detention Centre, which operated from 2002 to 2007. The region is bordered by the Eyre Highway east of Iron Knob and spans the Lincoln Highway and Iron Knob to Whyalla Road.
