Established in 1858, the Corio Hotel in Goolwa is a historic establishment named after the paddle steamer "SS Corio," which sank in the nearby Murray River in 1857. This National Trust-listed hotel features the Great Yankee Doodle Tobacco ceiling posters, reproductions of Archibald M. Willard's "The Spirit of 76." The family-friendly bistro offers a variety of meals and specials, while the front bar provides a relaxed atmosphere with pool tables, Kayo sports, and gaming facilities. A Sip'n'Save "Drive Thru" bottle shop is conveniently located on-site.
